What is it?
The Home Video Edit is a unique personalised video comprised of special moments taken from all of your home video tapes and edited together.

Requirements
You will need to have your home video tapes converted to digital files. This can be done via the Deluxe or Basic Converting options listed below.
If your tapes are already converted, I will send you a Dropbox folder for you to upload your files.
Time Frame
The process for converting tapes and creating the Home Video Edit can take up to 6 weeks.

What's deluxe about it?
The Deluxe Converting organises and cuts your converted tapes into smaller sections based on the scenarios in the footage, so it's easier to navigate and watch your clips.
As an example, if you have a 2 hour video tape converted, instead of receiving one long 2 hour video file, you will get multiple smaller video files of each event (Birthday party, swim lessons etc.)
Converting your tapes
We convert Video 8, Hi8, Digital 8, MiniDV, VHS and VHS-C tapes to high quality digital files.
All converted video files are checked to make sure that audio and video are in sync as sometimes old tapes can lose sync.

Damaged video tape repair

Price depends on the issue
The repair process
In the unfortunate event that a tape is damaged in the process of being converted, (which can happen with these 20-30 year old tapes) I will seek a repair for it.
Unfortunately I currently do not have the facilities to be able to repair these tapes myself and would have to take the damaged tape to a local repair shop.
Before proceeding with the repair, I will reach out to you to confirm that you understand the reasoning and agree to the repair cost which will be included in the final invoice.
